Painful, Ingrown, or Pressure Sensitive Toenail?  Find Help Here.

Mention ingrown toenails to any group and you are bound to hear a chorus of commiseration.  What you won’t hear as much of are people who have successfully found long term relief.  Finding reliable, thorough information on treatment options can be difficult and overwhelming.

To make matters worse, it seems like every person offering advice is trying to sell you something:  surgery, toenail braces, nail softeners, lifters, files…the list goes on and on.  Who do you trust to do what is right for you?  The answer?  YOU.  And that’s where I come in.

I’m not a doctor, I’m a person just like you who suffered from ingrown toenails for over 15 years.  Yes, I said 15 years.  For a long time it never really dawned on me that I had an option to fix my nails.  They were shaped the way they were shaped and I needed to deal with it.  (I wore a lot of flip flops to avoid any pressure on the nails.)  Finally, I started researching and asking questions and then questioning the answers I was given.

What I found:

  • All ingrown toenails are not the same or caused by the same thing, and
  • The treatment that is best for you depends on the cause and severity of your ingrown nail and your desired outcome of treatment.
